On June 24, 2009 the Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County and the Howard County Library presented the film, “Standing on My Sisters’ Shoulders,” to a packed room of several generations of women at the East Columbia Library.
"It was powerful to view this film with three generations of women in the room, and then share thoughts and experiences in a discussion afterwards" says WGC Advisory Board Member Caroline Sherman. "The struggles and successes of the activist women in the documentary were so deliberate, moving and vital, and we are committed to sharing their story in our county."
