Friends, As we enjoy the summer months, I'm grateful for the generosity, passion, and commitment that make the Women's Giving Circle such a powerful force for good in our community. Read the full eNewsletter here Several weeks ago, we celebrated the power of collective giving through WGC's Big Give 2026. Over two evenings, 50 women and girls came together to learn, connect, and collectively direct $26,000 to nonprofit organizations supporting women and girls in Howard County through the WGC's Big Give and the Young Women's Giving Circle's Mini Give. Now in its fifth year, the WGC's Big Give continues to grow in both participation and impact. Since its launch in 2022, more than 220 women have participated, directing more than $120,000 to local organizations serving women and girls. Registration for WGC's Big Give 2027 is already open, and we invite you to join us! Some of our most meaningful work happens when we gather together - learning from different perspectives, and celebrating the many ways philanthropy helps build a stronger community. To that end, I hope you'll join us on August 4 for our annual Black Philanthropy Month Happy Hour, co-hosted with the Black Philanthropy Circle. As giving circles and funds of the Community Foundation of Howard County, we are proud to come together to celebrate the legacy, leadership, generosity, and community impact of Black philanthropy. Tickets are just $25, and for those looking to further support the event, $100 sponsorships are available and include event admission along with recognition on our website, social media, and event materials. I encourage you to invite a friend, become a sponsor, and join us for an inspiring evening of connection and community. You can learn more here. Together, we are making a difference and continuing to empower women’s philanthropy. I hope to see you on August 4! Sincerely, Candace Dodson-Reed WGC Advisory Board Chair [email protected] www.womensgivingcircle.org
