Give in Honor and Memory of WGC Supporter Jackie Melonas

We were so sad to recently learn of the passing of long-time WGC supporter and friend, Jackie Melonas. Jackie was a donor, volunteer, member of the WGC's Grants Committee, and WGC cheerleader for many years. As Jackie's husband Jim said, "Jackie was honored to be part of the WGC."

Jackie's obituary mentions that she was an active member of the Women's Giving Circle, that "anyone who knew Jackie loved her," and that "she inspired countless people, personally and professionally, throughout her life and career."

We are so honored that Jackie's family has asked that gifts in her honor and memory are directed to the WGC.

The Women's Giving Circle is building a community of philanthropists and creating a permanent legacy to address the needs of women and girls in Howard County. We bring women together to learn about issues impacting women and girls in our community, and pool our dollars to fund programs that address those issues so we can have a greater impact together than we might otherwise have alone. 

A gift in Jackie's honor and memory will have a lasting impact for women and girls in Howard County. Thank you to the Melonas family, all who choose to donate to the WGC in her honor and memory, and to Jackie, for all that she did for the Women's Giving Circle and our community - she will be deeply missed.
