WGC LEGACY MEMBER: gifts of $2,500 or more
Thank you for your interest in giving a major gift to the WGC Endowment so we can support women and girls in perpetuity!
There are several opportunities to give through:
- Planned Giving programs—sometimes called gift planning, deferred giving, or legacy giving—help donors make plans to leave money or assets to nonprofits at a future date, both during their lifetimes and after death. There are many forms of planned giving, but the most common are bequests, charitable gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts.
We appreciate those who have made a planned gift in their wills to the WGC - we invite you to join us in leaving your legacy:
“It’s a life-long women’s commitment ... you spend a lifetime thinking about the things that are important to you, and this is an opportunity to leave a legacy through the WGC and support women and girls forever." - WGC Founder, Barbara K. Lawson.
- The Endow Maryland State Tax Credit rewards donors who help build permanent charitable funds for local communities across the state. Endow Maryland provides an incentive for Marylanders to give back to their local communities in a meaningful and lasting way.
- A Qualified Charitable Deduction means that donors may deduct charitable contributions of money or property made to qualified organizations if you itemize your deductions. Generally, donors may deduct up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income, but 20 percent and 30 percent limitations apply in some cases.
“I am modeling philanthropy for my children” - WGC Founder, Jean F. Moon
We are excited to speak with you about your thoughts and ideas for leaving YOUR legacy. Please contact WGC Executive Director Buffy Beaudoin-Schwartz with any questions.
* Members may wish to discuss these options with a personal attorney or tax accountant.
