WGC Committees
WGC is powered by the leadership and participation of women who give their time, talent, and resources to advance our mission. Our Executive Committee and three standing committees work together with the WGC Advisory Board and professional staff at the Community Foundation of Howard County to guide our grantmaking, engage our donor community, and ensure strong organizational leadership.
Each WGC committee develops an annual plan and budget, meets regularly, coordinates with other committees, and reports its activities to the WGC Advisory Board.

The Executive Committee provides overall leadership and direction for the Women’s Giving Circle, working closely with WGC’s committees, Advisory Board members, and professional staff to advance our mission, priorities, and ongoing work.
DONOR ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Co-Chairs: Cheryl Gray, Jade McClary
The Donor Engagement Committee helps grow, engage, and strengthen the WGC donor community. The committee focuses on donor outreach and stewardship, fundraising, events, sponsorships, and communications, creating meaningful opportunities for women to connect, participate, and give together.
GRANTS COMMITTEE
Co-Chairs: Laura Bacon, Paula Seabright
The Grants Committee leads WGC’s grantmaking efforts to support women and girls in Howard County. The committee oversees our annual grants budget and grantmaking process, as well as initiatives including the Emergency Response Network, Break the Cycle Period Product Drive, and Young Women’s Giving Circle.
OPERATIONS COMMITTEE
Co-Chairs: Jessica Moreno, Lynne Schaefer
The Operations Committee supports the strong governance and effective operation of the Women’s Giving Circle. The committee focuses on board leadership and succession, policies and procedures, financial stewardship, and coordination with the Community Foundation of Howard County.
