What advice do you have for those interested in giving back?
"No amount is too small! Whether it’s $1 or $10k, every bit helps. Additionally, money is not a requirement to give. Volunteering time and donating goods make a difference as well. Finding an organization that supports a personal mission is a great way to break into the world of philanthropy. Also, look for opportunities that involve the support of the entire family. Including children is a great start for building the next generation of givers."
April has contributed to organizations that address the needs of vulnerable populations or contribute to awareness and educational programming. In addition to the WGC, her national and local support includes:

She also supports Project: SOAR, which she recently started to provide services, outreach, advocacy and resources to individuals struggling to reach their full potential due to personal barriers and lack of access to services.
