What a Night! WGC's 2024 Annual Celebration & Pink Party

Wow, what a night!

Last night at our 2024 Annual Celebration and Pink Party we celebrated what we have done together for 22+ years in Howard County! WGC leaders Jennifer Bodensiek, Alison Canning, and Buffy Beaudoin-Schwartz provided an overview of WGC’s history, impact, grantmaking, and our State of Women and Girls in Howard County.

Highlights include: 

Giving over $1.2M in grants, building a $1.1M endowment, engaging over 1,700 donors, strengthening our relationship with nonprofit partners, building coalitions, and playing a role nationally in building the women's collective giving movement.

We heard from our Special Guest Speaker Tyeshia "Ty" Wilson about how giving circles are supporting women's rights nationally. Listen to her words of wisdom here.

​And, our panelists Melissa Curtin, Laura Bacon, Jennifer Woods Bodensiek, Kashonna Marrow, and Yolanda Sonnier discussed how philanthropy can, and is support women's rights locally.
